Elevate Origins Graduates Second Cohort

Indianapolis, Ind. Elevate Ventures today announced the graduates of the second Elevate Origins cohort, a pre-accelerator created under the university-affiliated Nexus program. Twenty-seven participants representing 17 Indiana companies completed the program, which is designed to help entrepreneurs prepare to start and grow businesses.

“Elevate Ventures is honored to have had the chance to help the graduating high-growth, high-potential startups build and refine their business models and investor pitch material,” said Jacob Schpok, Executive Director of Elevate Nexus. “This group of startups really showcased the diversity of ideas that exist across the entire state of Indiana.”

Each Origins graduate was required to attend two months of live training and one-on-one sessions. Each company walked away with an executive summary and pitch deck which was presented to Elevate Ventures staff and partners on March 6, 2020.

Elevate Origins was created to prepare aspiring entrepreneurs within higher education institutions and their local communities to launch Indiana startups. The online training series teaches entrepreneurs how to evaluate their business idea and ultimately develop an investor-ready business model, pitch deck, and executive summary. The trainings are facilitated by gener8tor, a nationally-ranked accelerator.
